Privacy Policy — ThaiKorea

ThaiKorea ("the App") is a Korean-language learning app for Thai users. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email and display name (when you sign up with email or Google).
• Learning data: progress such as XP, level, completed lessons, passed/failed words.
• Microphone audio: only while you use the speaking practice, solely to score your pronunciation — we do not record or store your audio.

2. How we use data

• Provide lessons and sync your progress across devices.
• Score pronunciation and give feedback during speaking practice.
• Manage your account and membership status (e.g. premium).

3. Microphone access

The app requests microphone permission for the speaking feature. Audio is converted to text only to compare with the target phrase and is not stored. You may deny the permission (speaking practice will be unavailable; the rest of the app works normally).

4. Third-party services

We use Supabase (Authentication and database) to manage accounts and store learning data. If you sign in with Google, your account data is also processed under Google's policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Speaking practice may use the operating system / Google speech recognition service.

5. Storage & security

Data is stored on Supabase servers and is accessible only to your own account via Row-Level Security policies that restrict each user to their own data.

6. Your rights & data deletion

You can delete your account and all data in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account, or request it via the account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Children

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with a new effective date.
